Milan's moving forward in Europa League!

Cutrone and Kessie (Picture taken from CorriereDellSport
That is not really a news. Let's not make out of Univ.Craiova an impossible giant to beat. That was very well expected that the Milan would keep going on in the competition and they did but it wasn't as easy as it looks like. The 2-0 final result was well deserved no doubts about it but somehow there is the sensation that was a bit of a left-off somewhere.
Cutrone and Niang seemed very active since the very beginning and it was very soon that the first ball went in for Milan when Kessie shoot a missile behind the Calancea after the keeper saved over a close range shot by Cutrone that took advantage of a defender's mistake. The referee disallowed the goal anyway even if Kessie was already celebrating like he scored in a Champions League's final. Sad moments. Anyway we are happy to see Giacomo Bonaventura back on the field and he even managed to resolve a confusing situation putting the ball in the net anticipating a coming defender. Very  wrong coming out by the keeper on that cross anyway. so it's 1-0 at 8'.
The ex-Atalanta Conti seemed really into the match and you can tell he really wanted to put his name in the scorers list but he did miss a huge chance when he put the ball out of target from a very easy and convenient position on the keeper's rebound over a great and powerful Suso's shoot from distance. Niang also squandered badly few chances in the first half. Donnarumma completely saved the result after 20 minutes when Mitrita shot powerfully towards him in a one to one situation but the Milan's golden boy put his big hand and sent the ball away for a corner. Amazing save.

The second half seemed pretty much like the first one and we are also happy to see a young Italian promising player scoring his first professional goal. Cutrone manages to score as a real striker when after a cross in a very packed area he put his foot in anticipation over literally everyone. What a penalty area fox! it's 2-0 at 51'. From that point everything seemed more relaxed and the Cracovia only had some chances on set pieces but they were all not very dangerous. Conti was pushing hard on the wing and Suso gifted the supporters with some fine style play. The Milan's defenders did concede some occasion in the area throughout the match so WE are just wondering how it would have gone if the opponents weren't so poor in front of the goal. Anyway 2-0, more than 63000 people in the San Siro Stadium. Everyone is happy at Milan ..... at least for now!
The first obstacle in the Europa League Preliminary is gone ! Now it's time for the playoff!
