Italian Serie A week 25th: Milan is back, Disaster Inter. A beautiful Napoli still on the lead!

We all know it's a two teams business the run for the title this season. An ugly Juventus won the Derby Della Mole thanks to Alex Sandro who managed to find himself in the right place to score a good assist by Bernardeschi. A very boring and ugly match to be honest, very low quality of soccer but well at this point of the season where some teams must "rest" a bit it might happen often aiming only at the final result. 0-1 was enough. Higuain left the pitch because of a painful impact with Sirigu and later on Bernardeschi got injured too (might be a month stop for him while should be nothing for Gonzalo).

Even Napoli did only a 1-0 win in the home clash against Spal. After only 3 minutes Allan got in the area scoring a nice goal after a perfect Sarri's style coral action ended up with a Callejon assist to the Brazilian team-mate. Spal closed itself in their zone of the pitch leaving not many spaces and Napoli never really risked much during the match. The Partenopei even scored a second goal with Hamsik but the VAR disallowed it for an offside (good call). Hamsik got even booked because he destroyed the corner flag during the celebration and left the pitch very nervous replaces by Zielinski(70').

A really good Milan keeps convincing its supporters! 1-0 against Sampdoria thanks to a classic goal by Bonaventura(14') perfectly assisted by a Calabria's cross (The italian wingback is growing up very fast and will definitely get scouted by many teams - just need some more experience in some occasions). Sampdoria only risked to get a draw at 89' but Caprari missed the target. Giampaolo was probably disappointed since his team never gave the idea that they could actually score a goal.

What a disaster for Inter instead. Another loss this time for 2-0 against Genoa. Spalletti doesn't know what to do anymore. Getting into the pitch without Perisic and Mauro Icardi as well added problems to a very complicated situation. Ballardini's team on the other hands played very well and Pandev confirmed he's still the best former clubs' killer ! After Lazio he scored again with a nice low shot at 59' (the 2-0 goal). Let's add that Inter is being also a little bit unfortunate especially if you see the kind of goal they got for the 1-0. Skriniar involuntarily cleared the ball (at least that was the intention)  directly over Ranocchia (own goal at 45'). The deflection pushed the ball behind the net with Handanovic incredibly taking off his hand letting the ball go behind. (WE want to believe that he was just surprised by what happened). Spalletti is falling down and they might get back on track starting from next week againt Benevento.

Might be harder than the past playing against Benevento now because after this fixture 3-2 victory against Crotone, the Streghe players will really give it all on the pitch in order to get as many points as they can in order to reach a mission impossible safety and avoiding the relegation. The match didn't start great for the Campani which missed many chances and got punished in the first occasion left to the Calabresi which scored with Crociata at 11'. Sandro equalized the match at 37' but many more surprises were coming up in the second half. The Ciro Vigorito Stadium was almost falling down when a deflected shoot by Viola got into the net at 65' and again the home team was reached by a goal of the new January transfer market's signing Benali. At 77' and on the 2-2 result De Zerbi didn't have many choices and put another striker in: Diabate. That was the key move! Diabate at 88' was the faster to strongly kick in a ball bouncing in the box! What a 3-2 ! Hopes for Benevento but still 11 points separate the team from the salvation!

Probably officially a new star is born in Roma. The young Turkish player got by Monchi is becoming brilliant! Another goal by Cengiz Under moved the balance of a nice match that was stuck on a 0-0 draw until the "Dybala of Turkey" shoot a terrific and powerful strike that past Bizzarri for the 1-0 at 70'! Perotti(90') put an end to the match getting back at scoring after 3 months : 2-0! Udinese played well but probably the Eusebio Di Francesco players wanted the 3 points more than the opponents!

Roberto Inglese is back and so is Chievo who won 2-1 the match against Cagliari. It all happened in the second half like the first goal for the Clivensi. An amazing free kick by Napoli's former player Giaccherini at 74' pure class followed two minutes later by the bomber Inglese (76'). Useless was the Pavoletti's goal at 82'. 3 very important points for Maran who was sweating a bit because of the league position.

Also Bologna got back at winning! 2-1 against Sassuolo and the relegation area might get more crowded soon. Poli scored the 1-0 at 12' in a suspect position and the 1-1 came by the "hands" of Babacar at 38', the player scored his first goal with Sassuolo thanks to a lucky bounce on his foot. The match was decided at 88' when Pulgar decided to transform himself in Roberto Baggio scoring a fantastic direct free kick! Really something must watch! Smiles for Roberto Donadoni.

A very beautiful match was the one between Atalanta and Fiorentina who ended up in a 1-1 draw. The Viola got the lead at 16' thanks to Badelj. Right before the first half whistle was a Petagna's header to equalize everything assisted by the usual set piece by Papu Gomez who was very hard to catch without a foul last night. Very nice match played by both central defenders' teams especially Caldara, Astori and Pezzella. Milenkovic did an awful performance instead and was even sent off at 85'.

Lazio came back to win after 3 negative results in a row, four if we count the last match in Europa league too! The King of goal Ciro Immobile scored twice (56'and 60'). The Biancocelesti had the complete control of the match since the Hellas Verona didn't really do much but it took the second half to get in front. Lazio wasted so many chances but in the end the 2-0 final result was fully deserved.
