1) Who are you, what do you do, where are you from and how's your life related to Subbuteo?

Hi, i´m Gregorio Caro Solís, i´m from Argentina (land of Messi, Maradona, Di Stefano and many other great football players)  I´m a player since my 11 birthday when i received my first Subbuteo set as a gift, i´m the co founder of our national association and the owner of FlickMaster.com a brand of table football products.

1)Chi Sei, cosa fai e perche' la tua vita e' correlata al Subbuteo ?

Ciao! Sono Gregorio Caro Solis dall'Argentina (terra di Messi, Maradona,Di Stefano e tanti altri grandissimi calciatori). Sono un giocatore si Subbuteo da quanto ho ricevuto il mio primo Set come regalo all'eta' di 11 anni. Sono anche il Co-Fondatore della nostra Associazione Nazionale e creatore del sito FLICKMASTER.COM, un brand di prodotti per Subbuteo/Calcio da Tavolo.

2) What's your first memory about Subbuteo ? (your first time)

I received a set for my 11 birthday, i was living in Madrid, Spain in this time. It was a set without a pitch, was produced by Borrás a toy producer from Spain. I made my own pitch with a green tablecloth painted with crayola. It was the firts FlickMaster product i think.

2)Qual'e' il tuo primo ricordo del Subbuteo ? (La tua prima volta)

Ho ricevuto il mio primo set per l'undicesimo compleanno, vivevo a Madrid in Spagna al tempo. Era un set senza panno ed era prodotto da Borras, un produttore di giocattoli spagnolo. Creai il mio campo personale con un panno verde dipinto con i crayola. Quello fu probabilmente il primo prodotto FlickMaster credo !

3) Are you also a Subbuteo collector ?

No, definitely not. i´m a disaster as a collector, i just can´t care for my teams, i want to play as better i can, i don´t care if it´s a heavyweight, lightweight or when it was made. i´m happy with 2 or 3 teams as much modern is better for me.

3)Sei un collezionista di Subbuteo? 

No, proprio no. Sono un disastro come collezionista, non riesco ad avere cura delle mie squadre, voglio solo giocare il meglio possibile e non mi interessa se e' una squadra HW, LW o altro. Sono contento con due o tre squadre, piu' moderne sono meglio e' per me.

4) Did you ever take part in Subbuteo events ? If Yes which one ? also where can we buy Subbuteo Items in your city ? Addresses are much appreciated for our followers

Yes i played in many tournament here in Argentina, in Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata and Rosario (Messi´s born town) I organized the first international tournaments here like the IOBA (International Open Buenos Aires) for some years.

4)Hai mai partecipato ad altri eventi Subbuteo ? Se si quali ?

Si, ho giocato in molti tornei qui in Argentina, a Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata and Rosario (La citta' natale di Messi). Ho organizzato il primo Torneo Internazionale qui come lo IOBA (INTERNATIONAL OPEN BUENOS AIRES) per alcuni anni.

5) Tell us something about your Subbuteo life.

In this moment i´m just producing and planning how to improve the game here, how to increase the number of players and the level of the game, i hope soon we can have a space to develop the game here.

5)Di qualcosa riguardo la tua vita Subbuteo.

Al momento sto solo producendo e pianificando per promuovere maggiormente il gioco da queste parti, per incrementare il numero di giocatori ed innalzare il livello. Spero che possiamo avere un spazio per sviluppare il Subbuteo qui.

6) What's your favourite team ?

My favorite team in real football is Club Atlético Independiente (the Kun Aguero´s original club), but in Subbuteo, i play with a Celtic team with an old away jersey with vertical black and green stripes. I saw them in a Champions League match and i fell in love with this colors.

6)Qual'e' la tua squadra preferita ?

La mia squadra preferita nel calcio vero e' il Club Atletico Independiente (La prima squadra del Kun Aguero!) ma nel Subbuteo preferisco il Celtic Glasgow con la vecchia maglia fuori casa con le strisce verticali verdi e nere. Le vidi in una partita di Champions League e me ne innamorai subito.

7) Which one is the rarest Subbuteo team for you?

I´m not an expert, but i had River Plate light weight Subbuteo team that was unique in a large stock of items i found here, i check in the Internet and it was not a very common team.  

7)Qual'e' secondo te la squadra piu' rara ?

Non sono un esperto, ma avevo il River Plate LW che era abbastanza unico rispetto ad un largo stock di prodotti che ho trovato da queste parti. Ho anche controllato su internet ed ho visto che non e' poi cosi' comune come squadra.

8) When did you start your website ?

I made a first website with the name of futboldemesa.com.ar near june 2001, it was made to promote the game here, not to sale anything. 2 years later i launch flickmaster.com to promote and sale material in our country.

8) Quando hai iniziato il tuo sito? 

Ho creato il mio primo sito con il nome di Futboldemesa.com.ar nel giugno 2001 ed era stato creato allo scopo di promuovere il Subbuteo qui senza vendere nulla. Due anni dopo iniziai Flickmaster.com per promuovere e vendere materiale nel nostro paese.

What´s your dream about Subbuteo?

Well, my dream is to make Argentina an important country in the Subbuteo World. To work to promote the game, to teach new players, especially the young ones, to have much more players and with the best possible level. In a country that breathe football is incredible our game still as a secret.

Qual'e' il tuo sogno riguardante il Subbuteo?

Beh il mio sogno e' di fare dell'Argentina una nazione importante per il Mondo Subbuteo. Lavorare per promuovere il gioco, fare da istruttore per nuovi giocatori specialmente quelli giovani; avere piu' giocatori di alto livello. In una nazione che respira calcio e' incredibile che il nostro gioco sia ancora quasi segreto!
