After a very long time Real Madrid is going to face a new era without Cristiano Ronaldo who joined Juventus adding up a lot of excitement in the upcoming Italian Serie A. The European Super Cup started like a nightmare for the Blancos. After only 59 seconds Sergio Ramos lost Diego Costa on the right flank. The bomber shot a terrific rocket that Navas couldn't even probably see even if WE think he should have done better on his post.0-1! The Atletico was good only for 10 minutes after that they started to get pressed in their side by Real Madrid who found the equaliser with Benzema at 27'. His header was in perfect timing with a great cross by Bale from the right.1-1.
Marcelo and M.Asensio did have few chances to get in front in the first half but the missed all of them. 1-1 after the first 45 minutes.
The second half was again in the hands of Real Madrid which got the lead thanks to a very clear hand ball penalty kick called at 62'. Perfect execution by S.Ramos for the 2-1. After a while It was crazy how Marcelo "saved" a throw-in but at the same time completely gave away the chance to Atletico to get the ball back, putting it in the middle for Diego Costa who all alone pushed the ball in for the 2-2 at 79'.

It's Marcelo again who had a great chance in the last second of the match but he missed the ball attempting a difficult volee in the box. Extra time!
Let's say that since Atletico Madrid didn't really use a lot of energy in the match so they definitely had more fuel in their engines and you could tell. At 98' Saul Gomez found the 2-3 and it's Koke at 104' to definitely put a stone on the match! 2-4
Looks like the CR7's departure will sign a completely new period of the Blancos and the Transfer Market is still on so the next question is : Is Modric staying or leaving ? We will discover it soon!
Congrats to Simeone anyway! He was nervously following the whole match from the stands because he's still paying from the past season's ban.
