Let's be reasonable. Yes it was a shame for Lazio losing 2-0 against the Apollon Limassol but what is very sad it's not really the result per se since we all know Simone Inzaghi was well qualified and just wanted to rest his best players for the upcoming Italian Serie A fixture away against Chievo. What is sad is to see the players that should fight the hell out of them to get a place in the First Team instead they go on the pitch giving such a poor performance. So now you understand why you are not in the First Team ? That must be the sentence that Simone told to everyone after this defeat. David Faupala 31' and Sasa Markovic 82' were the scorers. Particularly beautiful the first goal! The only person who seemed to care something about the match was Acerbi -140th consecutive appearance !!- who was indeed the only First Team player playing yesterday. Disappointment from players like Caicedo,Berisha,Murgia,Cataldi. They should eat the grass in matches like this instead they just lost with no answer. We must say that the pitch was absolutely awful but that's something that should affects both teams.
Different story and one of the weirdest match of the season so far for Milan. If you read the final result 5-2 you would never imagine how Milan got it. Considering that at 49' Dudelange was actually leading for 1-2 thanks to a precise shot from the right by David Turpel. Previous to that goals were scored by Patrick Cutrone - as usual - at 21' and the equaliser by a close range Dominik Stolz's firecracker. Milan risked a lot in the second half even to get a heavier result but luckily there was a Calhanoglu's free kick which got deflected in goal by Stelvio Rosa Da Cruz in his own goal for the 2-2 at 66'. From that moment Milan just woke up and completely destroyed its opponents scoring 3 more goals: at 70' with a low shot by Calhanoglu, at 77' with another own goal this time by Tom Schnell and at 80' with Borini who incredible made it after 43 seconds he got in as a substitute -the quickest goal by a substitute so far. We are sure Gattuso was angry at the end of the match. Despite the heavy result the Milan's performance was rather poor till the 66'. Higuain has definitely a problem. He cannot find a continuity in scoring and it's getting heavy on him. You can tell. Milan will still need not to lose in the next EL fixture against Olympiacos or lose with only one goal difference in order to make it to the next stage.
