ITALIAN CUP FOURTH ROUND 2018-2019: Shocking Genoa, Entella goes on! Ok Sassuolo,Cagliari and Torino!

Sassuolo and Cagliari will go on in the competition! For both teams it wasn't as easy as they were probably thinking before getting into the pitch. They both win for 2-1 ! The De Zerbi's team was good in taking advantage of some huge Catania mistakes. It's incredible how a defender can lose a ball that way allowing Matri to get the ball and running all alone towards the keeper before beating him with a low shot (14'). The Andrea Sottil's team wasn't just watching. Actually they even got an equaliser at 41' thanks to Fran Brodic. In the end the Sassuolo victory was rather deserved and it came out at 80' when Locatelli was ready to push the ball in with an almost empty goal. The NeroVerdi were pushing too much in the last 10 minutes so a goal was definitely in the air. Sassuolo will face Napoli at San Paolo in the Round of 16!

Away win for Cagliari against Chievo Verona. Cerri gave the lead to the Sardi at 8'. The striker had a very solid march also helping his team mates a lot all over the pitch. 10 minutes after that Mehdi Leris balanced the match which ended up as 1-1 at the first half. The RossoBlu wingers Farago' and Pajac did a great performance putting in great difficulty their opponents. The match winner was Fabio Pisacane at 68'.The wing back was the fastest to put in goal the ball with a header purposely deflected by Farago's head.1-2 and the Sardi will fly to Bergamo to face Atalanta in the next round!

What a match between Genoa and Entella! The 90 minutes weren't enough just like were not enough 2 penalties(both scored by Piatek)for Genoa to beat Entella (Lega Pro). The underdogs had also their own bomber! His name is Simone Icardi who scored two goals that brought the match to the extra-time. 2-2 after 90'. Another penalty this time scored by Lapadula (110')gave the illusion to Juric and Co. to be already in the next stage but at 120'+2' Krisztian Adorjan incredibly fixed the result on 3-3!! Heavy mistake by Lapadula on the 6-6 penalties and Entella won the match!
Juric got sacked and replaced by Cesare Prandelli. Great choice if we may say! 

Easy ride for Torino against Sud Tirol. A lucky deflected strike by Roberto Soriano at 24' and a goal scored by the baby talented Simone Edera at 81' gave the 2-0 victory to the Granata. Coach Mazzarri was only happy about the result and he will have to face Pioli in the next round!

The other match was Novara-Pisa won 3-2 by the hosts. The winning team will face Lazio in the Stadio Olimpico!
