Actually Subbuteo:"10 For You" with Arti Minori !

Happy New Year  Subbuteo people! We are back with a new interview! It's a small collective of Subbuteo artists , so let's see who they are:

Master at work ! 

1)Who are you, what do you do, where are you from and how's your life related to Subbuteo?

We are a team of 4 modelling artists from Greece and Cyprus, who paint figures for table soccer. Our brand name is 'Arti Minori'. Apart from this, we also have our daily jobs. Our life is directly related to subbuteo as we are also players.

1)Chi siete, Cosa fate, da dove venite e come siete collegati al Subbuteo?

Siamo un team di 4 artisti modellisti dalla Grecia e dal Cipro e dipingiamo figure per il calcio da tavolo (Subbuteo). Il nome del nostro brand e' ARTI MINORI. Abbiamo anche un lavoro quotidiano indipendentemente da questa attivita'. Le nostre vite sono collegate direttamente al Subbuteo anche in quanto giocatori.

2)What's your first memory about Subbuteo ? (your first time)

Each one of us, have their own story and memories with subbutteo. Some of us first came across this sport from our friends, our older siblings but most of us first saw it at least 26 years ago.

2)Qual e' il tuo primo ricordo del Subbute? (la tua prima volta)

Ognuno di noi ha la propria storia e memorie del Subbuteo. Alcuni di noi lo conobbero tramite amici, fratelli e comunque tutti all'incirca 26 anni fa.

3)Are you also a Subbuteo collector ? a player? or just Artist?

In addition to painting and creating something we love a lot, we do many other things. We like to collect teams that are hand-painted. We generally cover a whole range, some of us are players in teams as well us team leaders.

3)Siete anche dei Collezionisti? giocatori? Artisti?

Oltre a dipingere e creare cio' che amiamo, facciamo anche altre cose. Collezioniamo squadre dipinte a mano. Inoltre ricopriamo una vasta gamma, alcuni di noi sono giocatori in squadre ma anche team leaders.

4)Did you ever take part in Subbuteo events ? If Yes which one ?

We all compete in individual and team league level in Copam Table Soccer Club. Some have less activity and others more regular. At the same time we like to participate as referees or coaches.

4)Avete mai partecipato ad eventi Subbuteo? Se Si quali?

Siamo tutti coinvolti in campionati individuali ed a squadre nel Copam Table Soccer Club. Alcuni giocano meno di altri. Ci piace inoltre partecipare ad eventi come arbitri o allenatori.

New beginnings ! 

5)Tell us something about your Subbuteo life and how your subbuteo art started.

We began to paint when we were children 20 years ago with our own collection. In the following years, as we completed our studies, we started painting figures professionally. Our motivation and enthusiasm comes from the intense colours, the intricate and impressive designs of the players kit.

5)Dite qualcosa riguardo la vostra vita Subbuteo e come avete iniziato la vostra arte.

Abbiamo iniziato a dipingere da bambini circa 20 anni fa con la nostra propria collezione. Negli anni successivi, completati gli studi, iniziammo a dipingere figure professionalmente. La nostra motivazione ed entusiasmo deriva dagli intensi colori e dagli intricati design dei giocatori.

6)What's your favourite team ?

We have several preferences in teams, such us: Manchester City, Roma, Anorthosis, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, of which we have painted many times.

6)Qual e'la tua squadra preferita?

Ne abbiamo molte come Manchester City,Roma,Anorthosis,Borussia Dortmund,Real Madrid. Le abbiamo dipinte molte volte!

7)Which one is the rarest Subbuteo team for you ?

Our preference is in teams that we paint and not in rare old teams. We like new challenges, new kits that have imagination and beauty, but even some old teams that have particular complexity.

7)Qual e' la squadra piu' rara secondo voi?

Noi preferiamo squadre che dipingiamo e non quelle rare. Ci piacciono nuove sfide, nuovi kit che hanno immaginazione e bellezza ma anche alcune vecchie squadre particolarmente complesse.

8)How do you see the Subbuteo World in 5/10 years from now?

Internet has been a great help to spread subbuteo, but there are still many moves that have to be made from the people that love it, in order to spread it, as one of our members says. Subbuteo has to stop being compared with electronic games and evolve in other ways. Why can't subbuteo matches be shown on television? There are many shows on TV, so one can be subbuteo matches.

8)Come vedete il Mondo Subbuteo in 5/10 anni anni?

Internet e' stato di grande aiuto per la diffusione del Subbuteo, ma ci sono ancora tante cose da fare per chi ama questo gioco, come pensa qualcuno di noi. Bisogna in primis smettere di paragonare il Subbuteo ai videogames ed evolvere verso altre strade. Perche' non trasmettere partite di Subbuteo in TV? Ci sono tantissimi shows in tv ed uno potrebbe essere dedicato alle partite di Subbuteo.

What is that you like in what you're doing?

Painting players is a job that requires concentration and craftsmanship, but its also something that immensely calms us. Even more when our teams are delivered to our recipients become happy with their acquisition.

Cosa ti piace in quello che fai ?

Dipingere giocatori e' un lavoro che richiede concentrazione e maestria, ma anche qualcosa che ci da un'immensa calma. Ancor di piu' quando i nostri clienti sono felici del nosto operato!
