Italian Cup 2018-2019 Quarter Finals: Thrilling Win for Lazio,Solid Milan,Super Fiorentina and Atalanta!

Is this the beginning of a new era? A while ago these might be only big words but after Piatek practically created two goals out of thin air as easy as eating some candies then maybe we are in front of the new Lewandowski even if he really reminds us of Shevchenko. The polish young talent has been simply devastating in the first half scoring two goals on his first official First Team cap wearing the Rossoneri shirt. Napoli has been wasteful for the whole match but Milan has been also pretty solid especially with some men like Paqueta',Bakayoko,Piatek,Donnarumma, over all. Milik and Insigne didn't really do much. The latter was perfect in creating chances but very useless in his conclusions towards the goal. In the second half Napoli was much better than Milan which was mainly defending the result and waiting some counter-attack but It looked like Ancelotti took the sizes of Piatek putting him in a good cage, but he's done that too late. The two goals of advantage were too much at that point. Carletto must be very disappointed by his team but the Gattuso's players definitely deserved to access the Semi-Finals. Well done Rossoneri, they did fix the team in the January Transfer Market! Perfecto! Napoli wasn't bad but Milan was just very good in this match.

What a disaster the Roma defense. Eusebio Di Francesco will pay for it amongst the critics but let's also say that it is really the players' fault. They always misjudged the opponents in the three goals' occasions always arriving to close them one second later, enough to leave them the space and time to easily shoot on target. Too much space left to Federico Chiesa as well. He's becoming devastating when you leave available space for him. The first half was in the hands of the Viola. The second 45 minutes saw a bad match for Roma turning into a nightmare as you can understand reading the final result. Hat-trick for Federico Chiesa, two goals even for the Cholito Simeone and Benassi! Eusebio Di Francesco's definitely risking his place. Probably Roma never had such a humiliation in their history! 


ATALANTA-JUVENTUS=3-0 Timothy Castagne 37',Duvan Zapata 39'and 86'.

If you know us a bit you know were were kind of predicting the whole Italian Cup fixture. We were kind of sure that Atalanta could upset the odds even because the Bergamaschi are one of the very few teams in the Italian Serie A that actually have an idea of Playing Football, something that even Juventus doesn't have and this kind of match really shows you that. Atalanta literally destroyed the Bianconeri at all levels,pressing them with a terrific man to man pressing all over the pitch that simply stunned Allegri & Co. Szczesny did even some great saves but might have some faults on the goals too. We hope you watched this match because can show you what really is football about. We run out of words. It's true that Juventus lost Chiellini for an injury but it is also true that Atalanta lost Ilicic as well! Both in the first half. The Bianconeri came out of the closet only in the second half, obviously but was never convincing plus Cristiano Ronaldo did another awful performance. CR7 is learning how to lose at Juventus, must be something new for him. He's a player at the end of his career and chose Italy probably because of his financial situation. That's the reality. Congrats to Gasperini who will face Pioli in the Semi-Finals!What a match ahead!

INTER-LAZIO=1-1 (3-4 After Penalties)  Ciro Immobile 108',Mauro Icardi 120'+5'(PEN).

What a match widely dominated by Lazio only stopped by a great Handanovic who practically stopped all the attempts by Immobile,Luis Alberto and company. The first half was completely in the hands of Biancocelesti who should have scored but as it often happens to the Simone Inzaghi's team they are way too wasteful. Inter wasn't even onto the pitch until the last 10 minutes of the first 90 ones. Candreva first and Lautaro Martinez after wasted to incredible chances almost with an empty goal but besides that the Nerazzurri didn't do much and probably didn't deserve to get the Extra Time where it all happened. Ciro Immobile gave the lead to Lazio in a situation of 2 Against 5 Inter defending players and still they let him score. Crazy. Even more crazy the way Inter brought the match to the penalties. VAR conceded a penalty kick for a Milinkovic-Savic push on D'Ambrosio right on the penalty box line. Strakosha did a right guess of the angle but didn't stop the Mauro Icardi's shot.1-1 and penalty kicks lottery! Lautaro Martinez,Durmisi and Radja Nainggolan missed the chance from the 11 meters spot which means Lazio gets into Semi-Finals. Deserved by Lazio anyway.
