Hello FM lovers! This one was an incredible season even if we must already anticipate you, it ended up in a very sour way! But let's start with the positives!
As you might know from the past season we reached kinda milestone of 4000 matches as manager in game and now even 3600 matches managing the Foxes!!
Our achievement was also underlined by one of the great FM groups from facebook called FOOTBALL MANAGER DEBATE (FMD) which had a poll about the #SPECIALONE where Marco totally murdered the votation. FMD from twitter said: << HE GOT 53 VOTES, THAT'S MORE THAN DOUBLE THE RECORD OF MOST VOTES A SINGLE PERSON HAS RECEIVED!>>. That's the cool image of THE FOOTBALL MANAGER DEBATE AWARDS:
Well thanks a lot guys! Now let's talk about the 2077-2078 Review!
It was spectacular. We dominated the Premier League almost like we never did!! We could even done better. We finished 1st place with 29 W 6 D and 3 L for a total of 93 points! The damn Manchester City was far away at 82 points and Chelsea unbelievably 3rd at 65 points together with Sunderland!!! In order to reach this we had to make some drastic changes. We sold several "useless" players and brought the best player in the game YAKUBU which also bagged the BEST PLAYER IN EUROPE along with other awards!
We got kicked out of the EFL at the very first match but it was actually good to off load a competition probably. We really needed to focus on the Premier League after throwing away a title in the past season. It worked very well. We bagged a Community Shield against THAT Chelsea which killed us in the past season and we won against Manchester City and Arsenal in the first matches. We were unbeaten for a long period until we met Liverpool which stopped our run, but it was just an accident since you know how the PL ended up.
We easily won the FA Cup even using mostly the "second line" of our amazing squad plus the draws helped a lot putting us in front of many lower leagues teams. Imagine we played the Final against Bolton which finished 17th in PL only 2 points away from getting relegated.
The dream was really on this season when, once again, we kicked the Real Madrid out of the Champions League at Quarter Finals. We went all the way this time and INCREDIBLY once again we met the Manchester City in a CL final and ..... guys .... we lost... 2-1 .... Fate of this game is really the worst! We were down by 2 already after 10 minutes. WE MUST SAY THAT OUR AMAZING GOALKEEPER got injured right before the FA CUP final for 2 months... we already felt we were screwed against Man City... indeed... Despite our second goalkeeper is a good one....he should have done much better in that final. Anyway we hope we will reach the Final once again in the upcoming 2078-2079 season. We plan to offload few players but we must bring in a super strong midfielder! The board helped us to get a great goalkeeper and the above mentioned Striker. So exciting when THE BOARD AGREES to buy a player SO WE CAN SHOW TO EVERYONE THAT WE MEAN BUSINESS!
Regarding the National Team, we are about to face the Portugal World Cup 2078, using SPAIN! We feel like, if we don't get in the first 4 teams we would probably resign and find another team. We would like to win many more International competitions since we only won a Copa America with Argentina in 2075 ! You will discover in the next season review how the WC went! So keep following us!
