Hello Foxes!! We are glad you are still following the Leicester City Legendary save FM17! It has been a very complicated season and it's kinda amazing that we still managed to win the Premier League title, even if only thanks to a 0-0 draw -at home- against Bournemouth, only one match away from the end of the league! Whatever! We really needed this title after being badly kicked out of both national cups at very early stages in addition to a very bad Champions League campaign ended up at 1st Knockout Round against Benfica!! This is the price to pay when you try to renew almost the whole team filling it with kids. It's ok, we better pay now and be great on the long run. Because this is our new plan that's why we are so happy we still won the Premier League even this season!!
It's also the first time ever we keep a 32 years old striker, YES, YAKUBU, who won All the prizes you can think of for 6 years in a row. Best signing ever. But his time is probably coming even if we are definitely thinking to keep him around even at 33 years old! We will see!
We also had another issue this year. My manager contract was about to expire in 2084 and they only asked the renewal very very late in the season. I think they should have asked way earlier but also, honestly, I think I did request it BEFORE facing Benfica in Champions League - to lift the spirits around - but I mistakenly clicked to skip it when offered! So that almost put at risk the whole career !!
WHATEVER even here! Season is done and dusted and we also managed to bring home another Charity Shield!
Talking about National Team, we are now trying to lead Mexico to take part in the upcoming World Cup in 2086. We are now leading the Qualification stage and we are very confident we are going to make it !
Talking about tactics in general, we still do believe that our 3-4-1-2 is a great choice for our Leicester City. Sometimes we think to try to fit a defensive midfielder at some point but it's gonna take a while and we are not sure it worth the risk. Maybe we can start trying some new tactics during the national cups. We think we are suffering too much in the recent seasons so maybe a change in the tactics is needed. Let's see!
