Let's face the reality. None was probably expecting this but it looks like the Juventus really has a curse about some cups especially Champions League and Italian Super Cup. Well this time looks like the Juventus deserved to lose. Lazio had a very strong and solid match and seemed more team than the BiancoNeri. Buffon did some great saves but also lacked of confidence but probably of sharpness because of his age. WE believe that Szczesny will quickly become the First Team goalkeeper of the team. Leiva, Lukaku, Luis Alberto, Milinkovic-Savic and especially Immobile really put the Juventus defensive line in serious difficulty and they could have closed the match much earlier. At 31' Immobile dribbled Buffon that brought him down getting also a yellow card. Penalty perfectly transformed by Ciro Immobile bringing the team on the 0-1! De Sciglio, Benatia and Chiellini really didn't look like ready to face an important match and there are many doubts about their future. WE believe that Juventus will buy some very good defender before the 31st August or at least we wish it for them. Higuain was a ghost and Pjanic lacked of precision in many occasions. Douglas Costa got in the pitch during the second half and he was probably one of the few that did try to change the match. The apparent KO goal was scored again by Immobile this time with a precise header at 80' for the 0-2. Since that moment the Juventus had a superb reaction pushing forward so much that Lazio was forced to commit some fouls and indeed at 85' it was a direct set piece by Dybala that brought the match on the 1-2. It was really SOME goal. A fantastic shoot that curved all around the Lazio's defenders' barrier and went behind Strakosha. At 90' the incredible happened when Marusic brought down Alex Sandro and the referee gave a penalty. Dybala cold as a piece of ice leveled the match 2-2! At this point usually the opponent should kind of give up but not the Simone Inzaghi team! The Lazio had an amazing counter-reaction unexpected by the most and at 94' Lukaku literally surpassed De Sciglio on the left side of the field and the strong left wing gave a perfect assist in the center to the baby Murgia that scored probably the most important goal of his life till now! 2-3 and the Italian Super Cup its theirs!! Poor Allegri facing again the media after Cardiff.
Strakosha did some important saves on Higuain, Dybala and Cuadrado but still the Juventus really seemed too slow and chaotic and just not ready to hit the ground while the Lazio was very convincing even if probably the defenders should have paid much more attention instead of committing those fouls. Anyway very well done Lazio now let's see where both team will get in the upcoming super exciting Italian Serie A season!
