Great start for Juventus and Napoli !

Buffon saves the penalty (Picture taken from BBC)
It's that time again! The Italian Serie A just started and let's say it with no surprises yet! Juventus and Napoli had both rather easy opponents but in real life nothing is really easy. Allegri and Sarri know this best. WE believe the teams were not completely the real First Teams , there has been some sort of turn-over.
The first match was between Juventus and Cagliari where the bianconeri made a loud 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium but it wasn't that easy as the result shows. The Allegri's players started slowly but going in crescendo and indeed after a great set piece by Pjanic that went right next to the bar after few minutes that was the 1-0 scored my a nice first touch precise volee shot by Mandzukic at 12'. Despite the lead Juventus showed some defensive lacks indeed Farias and Barella created some dangerous situations that only Buffon and some luck could manage to save. Dybala seemed to be very inspired throughout the match and Higuain was very quiet in the first half.
At 38' something historical happened. The referee called a penalty thanks to the help of the VAR ( Video Assistant Referee ). This would have never happened in the past and we believe that this tool will make the soccer world more democratic let's say. So Farias was about to level the match and that would have changed everything but well the 40 years old kid Buffon saved it and triumphantly was hugged by all his team mates. Dybala few minutes later will kill the first half finalizing a perfect counter-attack action but even in this occasion there was a arm touch suspect on the first ball-stop but well that was the 2-0. The player was very cold in front of Cragno.
The second half saw the Juventus much more in domination. I guess what happened in the first half was just too much to handle for the Cagliari. Indeed Dybala kept shooting on target also getting the bar with a powerful shot but it's El Pipita Gonzalo Higuain that scored the final result 3-0 at 66' with a nice low ball in the left corner shot from a very narrow space between him and the defender. A real striker's goal. He's one of the best in the world in the narrow space. Honestly WE think that if Juvenuts made those mistakes against a better opponents it could have been a big trouble for them but well the start ended up very good for them.

Same story for Sarri and his fantastic Napoli. The Napoli offensive line played a fantastic match but as always Callejon and Insigne wasted so many chances and the result could have been much more than the final result 1-3. The Hellas Verona is back in the Italian Serie A but its defenders didn't convince at all. They made few very huge mistakes that only the lack of precision by the Napoli's strikers could save. That is something Verona will have to face and fix pretty soon.
Despite the many shots on target and wasted occasions the talented Insigne couldn't manage to score but he had been very useful for the whole team during the match. The first goal happened in a very unfortunate way when over a corner kick Souprayen put the ball in his own goal for the 0-1 at 32'. It really took too long for Napoli to score and in this way is not even a reassurance for Sarri. Verona didn't do much in the first 45 minutes. But as a great news at 39' arrived a perfect counter-attack that ended up with a precise shot by Milik for the 0-2.
The second half saw two teams that were doing even more their best to get a result done and people like Pazzini and Mertens also got in the pitch to help their teams. At 62' it was again Napoli to score the very heavy 0-3 thanks to a re-bound goal by Ghoulam. Pazzini did some very good things in front of goal like an amazing back-heel shot that almost went on target and would have been a superb goal! He managed to score the 1-3 on penalty at 83' when the referee also sent off Hysaj for a last man foul. Reina had a solid and convincing match saving his team in couple of occasions.
Already 7 goals in only two matches! WE believe this is going to be another full of goals season!
