The Italian Serie A is already stunning !

This is gonna be a much better Italain Serie A season (or at least WE hope so) compared to the past year in which there were only 3 teams playing properly. Clubs worked hard and it seems a very well balanced competition this time but WE also know that the first few matches always lead to very big misunderstandings and disappointments so let's talk about this again around the 10th week !

Anyway since we already talked about Juventus-Cagliari and Hellas Verona-Napoli let's see what else happened!

Atalanta lost the occasion of a positive start in the home clash against the new Roma labelled Di Francesco with Totti all dressed up sitting next to Monchi far from the bench. The Giallorossi got a very important 0-1 victory thanks to an intelligent set piece by Kolarov who let the defenders jump and the pall passing right under them. Berisha got very surprised and couldn't get on the ball on time. The goalkeeper could have done a bit better in this occasion but anyway that was enough for the 3 points! Very nice  match played by the Atalanta anyway that had several occasions especially in the last part of the match getting also an incredible post with Ilicic that couldn't manage to score from less than a meter distance but We must say it wasn't as easy as it sounds because of his position. Di Francesco will have to work a bit on few things but this is only normal. Not a great match by Defrel but very positive signs from Juan Jesus who did very well. Both teams will have something to say in this SerieA. Papu Gomez was in great shape too but we will see him better pretty soon. The Milanesi did very very well both showing to the world that the soccer is back in the Italian capital of fashion. Inter smashed the Fiorentina with a 3-0. The Pioli's team just couldn't handle the nerazzurri even if Handanovic did few great saves but two goals scored by Icardi (one was a penalty kick) in the first half and a nice header by Perisic left all alone by Tomovic , gave a great 3 points start to Spalletti! The team also played well and could have scored more. A lot to work for Pioli in the coming weeks. Icardi will be great at FANTACALCIO this season because he will only have to focus on the Serie A and the Italian Cup.

Convincing performance by the completely new Milan that won also 0-3 in the away match against Crotone. The calabresi were disappointing or maybe just this Milan is as good as it looks like and they also bought Kalinic that will be available from this week! A penalty by Kessie, an header by Cutrone and a precise low shot by Suso were enough to kill the match. Donnarumma just watched the match.
Just like pirates the Chievo got 3 points against Udinese in the Dacia Arena! 1-2 for the Clivensi that didn't actually steal anything and they kind of deserved the victory. Getting the lead with Inglese and reached by a very well placed shot by Thereau, the Del Neri team got knocked out by an amazing, powerful and precise long distance shot by Birsa. Great start for the canaries !
Bologna and Torino finished 1-1 and Mihajlovic already have a lot to recriminate about because of a goal by Berenguer disallowed but it wasn't really the VAR's fault it was the Massa referee's because he stopped the match even before that the Var should have become protagonist so please let's not confuse things even more. Anyway the Bologna actually got the lead at 27' with Di Francesco (son of the Roma's coach) but it only took 6 minutes to Torino to get back on track thanks to Ljiajc. The Torino deserved a lot more than that but let's say that the offensive line of the Granata wasn't very sharp last night including Belotti in which the club has very and much higher expectations. Will he hold the pressure ?
3 points in the sign of the immortal Quagliarella that scored twice against a very nice Benevento that after getting down by one managed to level the match with Ciciretti. Only a great Puggioni kept the Sampdoria alive until the second goal by Fabio at 53'. Well done Giampaolo! This wasn't an easy start. Very positive signs for Baroni that can hope to keep the Benevento in the Italian Serie A longer than one year! WE hope so!
There were couple of 0-0 matches rather disappointing indeed like Lazio-Spal and Sassuolo-Genoa. Both results were fair enough for what has been the performance on the pitch  but maybe Lazio could have managed to score at least 1 goal. Simone Inzaghi will have to fix the attackers precision and also the club will have to solve the Keita situation. WE believe that if Keita was on the pitch the Lazio would have won the match 100%.
Can't wait already for the 2 week that will come right before the first National Teams's break in September!
