What an incredible match officially opened the Premier League Season! The fresh Community Shield's winner Arsenal against the now worldwide known team Leicester City! It has been a great match and probably the 4-3 final result in favor of Arsenal was slightly deserved for the Gunners at least for the number of occasions they have created but if the match would have finished in balance that could have been pretty fair too.
Arsenal started very confidently especially to show their potential for this season expectation in front of their supporters and after 2 minutes the new signing Lacazette gave the lead 1-0 to his team thanks to a precise header that went behind Schmeichel ! Morgan had some faults not marking properly the opponent. That didn't last much because at 5' it's the talented Japanese Okazaki that leveled the match anticipating everyone with a intelligent header that beat Check for the 1-1! The Foxes found the strength to score the 1-2 in a very good moment for them thanks to the one and only Jamie Vardy that just like a real fox was ready to push in a great ball in the middle taking the time on the defenders!
Very fortunate the way the Arsenal found the 2-2 just before the first half whistle with Welbeck that scored the easiest of the goals after a very chaotic action. Bad luck for the Leicester city to get a goal like this while they were almost going to have a break with a one goal lead. That probably changed everything!
In the second half despite the great pressure put by Arsenal it's again Vardy to push his team on the 2-3 thanks to a nice header over a corner kick at 56'. Towards the end of the match after several saves of Schmeichel and also some lack of precision in front of the goal by Ozil that came the moment of the change and black out for Leicester City that got two goals in 2 minutes! First with Ramsey at 83' for the 3-3 then at 85' with Giroud that put a header right on the lower part of the bar that pushed the ball enough behind the goal line for the final 4-3.
What an incredible way to start the Premier League. We love Leicester City but in the end maybe a draw would have been much better ! Well done Wenger anyway! The Foxes are a very tough opponent! Many positive notes for the Leicester City that perhaps should work more on the defensive line because the rest seems to work pretty well. We gonna have a great Premier League ahead !
