1)Chi Sei, cosa fai e perche' la tua vita e' correlata al Subbuteo?
Sono Christian Mascitti, sono laureato in legge, ma lavoro nel settore logistica/trasporti. Ho cantato ed insegnato canto per diversi anni facendo show prevalentemente in Lombardia. Ho composto più album con le mie band. Ho anche un figlio di nome Anselmo avuto dal mio primo matrimonio. Il suo nome arriva proprio da quello del cantante di uno dei miei gruppi preferiti: i Pantera. La mia vita é legata al Subbuteo perché ci ho giocato tanto da bambino ed ho ripreso a giocarci dieci anni fa, dedicandoci a fasi alterne molto del mio tempo libero.
Ora gioco per il Torrione di Lodi sotto l'egida della FISCT dopo aver vestito le maglie dell'Alebbio, dei Barbarians, dei Sassi Grossi nel circuito legato al forum dell'oldsubbuteo che ho abbandonato quattro anni fa.
1)Who are you, what do you do, where are you from and how's your life related to Subbuteo?
I'm Christian Mascitti, got a degree in law but I work in the logistic/transport business. I sang and I have been teaching singing for several years even doing shows in Lombardia (North Italy). I also made several albums with my bands. Got a kid called Anselmo who I had during my first marriage. His name it's actually coming from the singer of one of my favourite bands: The Pantera. My life is linked to Subbuteo because I played it a lot when I was a kid and I got back at it about 10 years ago dedicating a lot of my spare time to it.
I am not a member of the subbuteo club Torrione di Lodi involved in the FISCT circuit after playing for Alebbio, The Barbarians, Sassi Grossi linked to the OldSubbuteo Forum which I left 4 years ago.
2)Qual'e' il tuo primo ricordo del Subbuteo ? (La tua prima volta)
I miei genitori, sotto consiglio di mio fratello maggiore Giorgio (che ancora se ne pente), mi regalarono una club edition nel 1989. Conteneva il Lokeren ed il Molenbeek.
Di lí l'inizio ed il coinvolgimento di tutti i miei giovani amici del quartiere di Rebbio. Ci giocavamo tutti, ma proprio tutti noi della classe '79...
2)What's your first memory about Subbuteo?(your first time)
My parents gave me as a gift a Club Edition in 1989 under my brother's advice (he still regrets that). The Set had the teams Lokeren and Molenbeek included. It all started in that moment when I also brought in all my neighbours friends of the Rebbio's district. We were all playing Subbuteo, all of us born in 1979!
3)Sappiamo che sei un giocatore di Subbuteo. Sei anche un collezionista?
Sono un collezionista di squadre dipinte da me più che altro. Adoro dipingermele repliche ed assemblarle. Ne posseggo circa 250 dipinte a mano da me. Ciò ha condizionato a tratti anche la mia abilità di giocatore perché ci sono stati periodi in cui ho solo dipinto, visto che tempo di andare a zonzo per tornei non ne avevo. Ora la situazione sí é ribaltata: gioco molto e dipingo poco. I risultati si vedono.
3)We know you are a Subbuteo player. Are you also a Collector?
I am a collector of teams handpainted (HP) by myself. I love to hand paint replica and mount them. I own about 250 hp teams. This hobby took a lot of time out of my Subbuteo's skill's practice because there were period in which I was only hand painting teams and had no time to go around playing tournaments. Now the situation completely changed: I play a lot and paint much less. You can also see the results on the pitch.

4)Hai mai partecipato ad eventi Subbuteo? Se si quali? Hai mai vinto dei premi?
Impossibile enumerare quelli del mondo oldsubbuteo, nel quale sono arrivati diversi piazzamenti. Diverso il discorso in FISCT nella quale sto trovando una collocazione stabile pur giocando solo a squadre per ragioni di tempo e danaro.
Le vittorie cui sono più legato sono quelle del primo torneo dell'Old Subbuteo Club Alebbio del 2009 e l'ultima al Macho's Day di Cremona avvenuta il 2 settembre in compagnia di giocatori di diversissima estrazione.
4)Did you ever take part in Subbuteo events? if YES which ones? Have you ever won any prize?
It's impossible to name all the ones I took part in the Old Subbuteo world in which I got several good placements. Different situation if we talk about the FISCT circuit in which I mainly play in team because of time and money reasons. The victories I most treasure were the one with my first Subbuteo Club Alebbio in 2009 and the last one at the MACHO'S DAY in Cremona which was held on the 2nd September along with many different levels of players.
5)Principali aspetti positivi e negativi del Mondo Subbuteo ?
L'aspetto positivo é il gioco in se: la simulazione perfetta del gioco del calcio. L'aspetto negativo é la divisione fra i giocatori del forum oldsubbuteo e quelli della FISCT. Una divisione legata ai personalismi e non alla voglia della base che forma i due movimenti di giocare allo stesso identico gioco. Come risultato i migliori giocatori sono migrati in FISCT, lasciando poca qualità di gioco nel mondo del forum dell'oldsubbuteo. Un peccato perché la crescita che offre la partecipazione agli eventi FISCT non trova corrispettivo negli eventi dell'oldsubbuteo forum. Alla stessa maniera però la goliardia dell'oldsubbuteo forum non trova spazio nei tornei e negli eventi FISCT.
5)Can you tell us the positive and negative aspects of the Subbuteo World?

I miei New York Cosmos. Sono un fanatico della NASL.

8)Cosa ne pensi delle versioni Subbuteo come LA LEGGENDA e come quelle che stanno uscendo in Edicola ? Qual'e' il decennio di produzione della storia del Subbuteo che preferisci ?e Perche'?
Della prima edizione salvo le miniature ed i dischetti, della seconda nulla, della più recente tutto, ma solo nel caso in cui la usi un principiante. Sono adatte a chi non ha mai visto una vecchia miniatura HW.
Il mio periodo preferito é quello delle LW degli anni '80 e '90, ma dovrebbero montare delle basi HW moulded... La combo sarebbe perfetta.
8)What do you think about the Leggenda teams or other coming out in all the newsstands ?
Talking about the First Edition Leggenda I only liked the miniatures and small discs. I didn't like the Second Edition. I like the recent ones but only in the case is used by a beginner.They are good for the people who never saw an original Heavy Weight team.
My favourite Subbuteo period it was the eighties and nineties of LW teams but they should have done a combo with the HW moulded. It wolud be perfect!

What would you like to receive from Santa Claus?
At least 40 miniatures perfect in balance and fluidity available to be used on every surfaces.
Thanks a lot to another great Italian passionate! We agree the all the circuits should find a way to coexist all together even in terms of playing but the rules about the equipment to use We guess is the key factor. There are several important differences that practically divide somehow the players that choose to play different kind of Subbuteo or only focus on one type!
