CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2018-2019 Round of 16 - 2nd leg: Rien va plus for PSG and the title's holder! Out also Dortmund and Roma! Crazy CL!

Buffon mistake cost everything to PSG (Picture from Sports.Yahoo.com)

REAL MADRID-AJAX=1-4 Hakim Ziyech 7',David Neres 18',Dusan Tadic 62',Marco Asensio 70',Lasse Schone 72'.

Is the glorious Ajax Amsterdam coming back ?! It really looks like after seeing their amazing performance against a Real Madrid now officially at the end of their cycle and It can't be only because of the Cristiano Ronaldo departure, like many crazy mass media claim. The truth is that most of the players are just getting old and also probably lack of hungriness for winning titles. It would have been enough just to replace CR7 with a proper striker which the Blancos don't have. Plus put in a bunch of very overrated players like Kroos,Casemiro,Modric and the game is done. The Holland team literally destroyed the title's holders in terms of quality, speed, chances, coral game and even goals as you can read from the result. There are just no excuses, Ajax was the better team and we are now wondering how fare they can get? It's gonna be a very interesting Champions League this year since the final winner is definitely a big question mark, not like in the past editions! Chances for everyone this time! Another great performance by players like Ziyech and Tadic but it's their coral game that really catch the attention!

DORTMUND-TOTTENHAM=0-1 Harry Kane 48'.

Pochettino made it to the first 8 strongest team in Europe! Despite a sort of Dortmund domination in the first half - which was mainly attacking with no real danger especially thanks to the incredibly solid Spurs defensive line- Tottenham managed to score that important goal in the second half which was enough to secure the qualification and who else could score it? As always him: the bomber Harry Kane. He had one occasion and he made it! That's a real poacher! That was practically one of the very few chances had by Tottenham which let Dortmund having the ball possession and attack play for most of the time but always finding a well placed Lloris and sometimes also stopped by bad luck like the bar gotten by J.Sancho. Dortmund just needed some more focus in the last 16 meters and they would have won the match easily. At this level you gotta score!! Spurs are on fire now!

PORTO-ROMA=2-1 (3-1 after E.T.) Francisco Soares 26',Daniele De Rossi 37'(PEN),Moussa Marega 52',Alex Telles 117'(PEN)

This match was definitely part of the CL madness that we have witnessed in this fixture! Incredible how Roma threw away the chance to get into the first 8 teams in Europe for the second time in a row. Too many mistakes and players like Karsdorp and Olsen underachieving plus a very wasteful Dzeko and probably also some Di Francesco's choices weren't the best ones too. This is just bla bla bla. The truth is that the Sergio Conceicao -fresh of contract renewal- managed to kick out the Italy Capital City team with a great performance full of intensity and nerves. Marega,Telles and Iker Casillas did an extra job to push the time towards the glory. The VAR did its part but it's always referee fault. Dubious call about the Telles penalty since probably Florenzi just very slightly pulled the opponent's shirt but of course if you see it in slow motion it definitely looked like a bigger deal. Controversy as always. Same old same old. For us it was right not to call the penalty over Schick at the end of the second E.T. because he totally mixed up his own legs and fell down. Congrats to Porto. We are waiting to see Eusebio Di Francesco away from Roma very soon.

PARIS SAINT GERMAIN-MANCHESTER UNITED=1-3  Romelu Lukaku 2'and 30',Juan Bernat 12',Marcus Rashford 90'+4'(PEN).

If the previous match was crazy this was even crazier. Solskjaer made the impossible possible beating PSG scoring 3 goals away and the worst part for the Parisians is that one goal came out of a Buffon's mistake (The supposed to be Legend) and the second one came from the 11 meters spot after the VAR conceded the penalty. Huge ball possession from PSG that threw away their chance to get a spot in the hope of the final glory. We must say that the early goal and the Buffon goofy save made it but this is what football is also about! Definitely a night to remember in the history of the club and in the mind of his supposed to be a care-taker for a while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who is probably heading to get a big contract instead! We are happy for the Red Devils anyway. They surely deserve to get back on top of the world! PSG will have to think a lot about this but they have been also unlucky anyway. PSG was on the pitch without Neymar JR and Cavani (who only played few minutes in the end).
