Despite the early lead by Alex Iwobi at 3' the Arsenal managed to lose the plot of a match that looked like it was completely in their hands at least until the dramatic moment of the red card shown to Sokratis Papastathopoulos at 41'. On the free kick action the Rennes found even the equaliser with Benjamin Bourigeaud at 42'and that was a big wound for Arsenal. In the second half indeed the French team scored two more goals thanks to a very unfortunate own goal by Nacho Monreal who deflected a powerful cross in his own net and to Ismaila Sarr at 88'. Luckily the Gunners scored that away goal that could be of vital importance for the second leg. Nothing is impossible here. They can make it!

Different stories for Napoli and Chelsea! They both beaten their opponents for 3-0 practically securing already a spot in the Quarter Finals! Salzburg gave some worries to Napoli especially when they scored the 1-1 but was disallowed by the referee. Ruiz scored the 2-0 right after that moment and it was the boost they needed. Sarri's team dominated the whole match since the very beginning instead. Nice performance by Pedro who lead the team to a glorious victory against a poor Dynamo Kyiv.

Goalless match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Inter. Tricky 0-0 for the Nerazzurri because they must be careful not to get any goals in the second leg. Regrets for the Brozovic's missed penalty and for other occasions that could have been probably easily scored by Maurito who is still refugee somewhere. The good news is that the Spalletti's team didn't conceded much. A lot of hopes ahead to get the next stage and we believe they will make it! Amala!
