CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2018-2019: Superb job by Liverpool and Barca! The Quarter Finals can begin!

Great job done by the Klopp team against a Bayern Munich that seemed too "old" to cope with the freshness of Liverpool players. The Germans definitely need some big changes if they want to get back in the first positions of the CL! It's true that the first half ended on 1-1 but you could definitely tell that Liverpool was about to overcome any moment! Also consider the Bayern goal came thanks to an own goal by Joel Matip at 39'(1-1) while the 0-1 was score by Mane' at 26' dribbling Neuer and beating him and the defenders with a lovely lob. The guy will score even the 1-3 at 84' by header and the same did Virgil Van Dijk at 69'. It's incredible how a goalkeeper like Neuer got 2 identical goals by header. He probably did his time just like Gigi Buffon. There's an age in which you probably better retire. It's just life. Rodriguez and Lewandowski couldn't do much just like Ribery. Great names but as we said, the club needs a refresh! Liverpool will be the 4th English team involved in the Champions League Quarter Finals joining Tottenham,Manchester United and Manchester City. What a glorious time for the Premier League!

Looked all easy for Barcelona which mad a lout 5-1 against Lyon. Lionel Messi didn't want to miss chances of putting his name on the goals sheet and he did it twice (17'penalty kick and 78'). Superb match by the Argentinian player. But it wasn't a stroll in the park considering that Lyon scored the 2-1 at 58' with Lucas Tousart and they were totally on course for a comeback. The super power of Barcelona came out in that moment and taking advantage of the spaces left by a Lyon which was trying to score the equaliser for the away advantage but you cannot leave spaces to a team that has Coutinho,Suarez,Messi and Dembele' in front. Indeed they totally killed them until the 90. Widely deserved qualification but the Barca still doesn't look that sharp in the defensive area. They gotta work on it! Pique scored the 4th goal at 81'.
