World Cup 2018: Colombia is on fire! England Hammers Panama! Spectacular Draw for Japan and Senegal

Cuadrado on fire!
First match of the day was England Vs Panama. Well none was expecting anything much from the South American and for most people this was  going to be a walk in the park. After only 5 minutes surprisingly the first chance was for Panama and even a big one on the feet of Anibal Godoy who found himself completely alone in the box but he incredibly shot far over the bar without thinking to much. It was a massive chance. England punished that mistake in their first real occasion at 9' when on a corner kick action John Stones was left completely all alone to head the ball in from the middle of the area. 1-0 ! At 19' Lingard apparently got pushed down from the back by Roman Torres and the referee called a penalty kick!
Harry Kane scored the 2-0 (20')! At 36' it was Lingard to score with a great strike from out of the box. Few minutes after and at 40' again Stones was the quickest to tap the ball in after a save. Incredible at 45' the referee called another penalty and that was another goal for Harry Kane! 5-0 and that was only the first half.
In the second half history will be made for Panama but only after another this time very lucky goal by Harry Kane who inadvertently deflected a strong shoot with his heel beating the keeper for the 6-0 at 63'. Panama got into the history scoring their first World Cup goal with Felipe Baloy the most expert player on the pitch with his 37 years old (78'). Fantastic to see the Panama's supporters spirit cheering like a goal in the Champions League final for their only goal. The magic of World Cup. 6-1 final result!

The second match was Japan-Senegal. The first 10 minutes were incredible with Senegal pushing so much with a great confidence. After many crosses in the area and few corner kicks arrived the lucky 0-1 ! The ball finished directly on the foot of the captain Mane' after a save by the keeper Kawashima. Despite being in serious difficulties Japan managed to equalize taking advantage of the only mistake Senegal made. Great Nagatomo who eluded the mark of two defenders and gave a great assist to Takashi Inui who shot the ball directly behind N'Diaye! 1-1 (34'). Japan started taking advantage of a tired Senegal and there were 10 minutes of panic in which the Japanese got a bar and missed a huge chance with Osako who didn't reach the ball for centimetres , it would have been a sure goal.
After taking some breath Senegal pushed themselves forward again and found the 1-2 with a great action full of class ended with a back heel assit by Niang to Moussa Wague' who powerfully smashed goal and keeper (71'). It was Honda to bring back things in balance after a fast counter-attack and a strange coming out of N'Diaye who left the space to the Japanese to score with an empty goal! 2-2 at 77'. It was just a huge battle till the final whistle. Exciting draw

Closing match of the day was Poland Vs Colombia. Two disappointing teams with a superb potential not expressed till now. One of them had to win for a hope to get the next phase after the above mentioned draw. Poland seemed to be very focused but it only lasted few minutes because slowly Colombia started to grow up especially Rodriguez, Falcao and Cuadrado who was making defenders crazy on the right part of the pitch. Not many specific occasions but great intensity on the pitch. It took a while but Colombia found the 0-1 thanks to a Yerri Mina's header greatly assisted by a James Rodriguez chipped cross (40'). Poland absolutely poor on the pitch with no ideas nor tactics. The first half went to Colombia! It looked like Poland couldn't do anything good even in the second half. Colombia instead wanted it more than the opponents that got to have a good chance at 58' with Lewandowski (a ghost till that moment) who strongly shot on target after a great stop but Ospina saved crashing almost over him. This was the first very chance for Poland. The 0-2 was in the air and when Falcao received a ball right outside the box he quickly got into a beat Szczesny with a nice low ball on his coming out. Poland was falling apart and a lethal counter-attack put Cuadrado in the condition to run all alone towards the goal from the midfield and beating his team mate in the Italian Serie A Szczesny.0-3! Cuadrado deserved a goal! Ospina even denied once again the joy og a goal to Lewandowski. His firecracker got superbly saved by the keeper. Game over for Poland. Final result 0-3!
