Busy fixtures from now on with two matches playing at the same time. Saudi Arabia Vs Egypt was the match for the glory since both team were already out of the competition but still a World cup match is a World Cup match and you could tell they were both giving everything. Saudi Arabia only tried to shot from distance but it was Egypt to score the 0-1 thanks to obviously Mohamed Salah who beat the keeper with a perfect lob after a superb stop. It look all so easy but it was a high class goal! Only a minute after and Salah is again face to face with Al-Mosailem but this time the lob went wide. This goal was 100 times easier to score than the first one! After couple of missed chances by Trezeguet there was a penalty kick give to Saudi Arabia. Fathy took it and missed it! Great save by the 45 years old goalkeeper El-Hadary. Incredibly the referee called another penalty kick at 45'+6'. The VAR clearly showed that Al-Muwallad let himself falling down. Anyway Salman Al-Faraj scored the 1-1 and that was the first half. The second half found a much better performance from Saudi Arabia even if Egypt completely wasted a huge chance face to face with the keeper and El-Hadary did another miracle on a Al-Mogahwi's header. The green team unbelievably found the 2-1 victory with a dramatic goal at 90'+5' by Salem Al-Dawsari.

The match between Uruguay and Russia was more to decided which team would get the lead in the table Group A since they were both already qualified. Uruguay wanted it more since the very beginning and looked like they saved energy in the first two matches to start meaning business from now on. At 10' it was Luis Suarez to bring his team on the 1-0 thanks to a perfect set piece directly shot on target beating Igor Akinfeev on his post. Intelligence and power showed by the Barcelona player. The Russian top goalscorer Cheryshev tried to equalize few minutes after but his shot was over Muslera. The 2-0 for Uruguay wasn't far from there indeed it was Laxalt to set the new result. Lucky strike from 25 metres highly deflected by Cheryshev (own goal). At 36' Russia got a red car to Igor Smolnikov who tripped over Laxalt couple of times within 10 minutes. Too intense for the referee. 2-0 Uruguay and even the advantage to play the second half in 11 against 10. Indeed even with some Russian attempts to get back into the match but Edison Cavani finally found his first World Cup goal at 90'! 3-0 and Uruguay got the lead of the Group A .
