Champions League 2018-2019: Unlucky Napoli, Inter back to Earth!

None would have ever believed that Napoli could pull off 4 points against Liverpool and PSG and now a lot of people will have to change their points of view. Another great match played by the Ancelotti's team in Paris. They definitely deserved the victory but a gem of Angel Di Maria at 90'+3' set the resul back on draw. Napoli was only few seconds away from an historical victory. The 2-2 still is a very positive result for the Partenopei. Good match for their strong and solid midfield and Mertens was very inspired too - a bar in the first half and a goal (77') in the second one. Very unfortunate the Mario Rui's deflection (61') into his own net in the occasion of the PSG's 1-1. Not much of Cavani, Mbappe and Neymar and this was thanks to the great Carletto's tactics. Fantastic the Lorenzo Il Magnifico Insigne's lob for the 0-1 (29'), pure class! Unfortunately for Napoli the Liverpool had a magical night beating 4-0 the Red Star Belgrade also thanks to a Mohamed Salah's hat-trick!

Different story in Barcelona. We were trying to give some hopes to Inter on our social media but to be honest we really didn't believe the Nerazzurri could really make any point in there even considering the Nainggolan's injury. The 2-0 for the Blaugrana was deserved but you could still see some positive notes from the Spalletti's team especially in the second half and the very first part of the match. In those periods they should have scored a goal but the solid Barca defence and the lack of precision didn't let that happen. Inter was in the match for almost all the 90 minutes also thanks to few great interventions by Handanovic. Considering the 2-2 between PSV and Tottenham , this defeat is not a drama at all and hopefully Inter will learn a lot about themselves after this match. Cheer up! Amala. Of course the fate wanted that Rafinha(32') put his mark on the match. The other goal was scored by Jordi Alba(83').
